	We are planning on getting married in late August and I keep reading that you need to have your dress , the atmosphere etc to match the time of year. Since we are getting married in his parents beautiful back yard, the problem is I wanted the bridesmaids in black and I am hearing that it wouldn't be proper with it being in the month of August. I am not one for jewel tones or pastels. What do I do?? Thank you!	Submit your answer to this question

	You don't 'need' to do any certain thing. Although tradition dictates certain styles and colors for certain situations, most brides I know are realizing that this day belongs to them and their new husbands and not to tradition. Nor does it belong to anyone who is trying to tell you what is 'proper.' If you like black, choose black. You should not compromise on what will be one of the most important days of your life.
