Question My sister is getting married and I just can't get along with her in-laws. If her in-laws are going to be in the wedding I won't. I just can't see myself standing on the same line with those horrible people. What should I do? Submit your answer to this question

Answer Second-marriage weddings are not usually nearly as extravagant as first weddings. The bride and groom should plan on paying for it themselves. You both have already had your first weddings...… Anonymous

Answer I'm sorry, I know I don't know you, but you are being extremely selfish when you have no right to. If you love your sister, and it sounds like you do because this situation has you in such a quandry, then you need to suck up all the animosity you feel for her family-to-be and be there for HER. It's HER day, not yours, and nobody says you have to like it. Just the thought of not going to my own sister's wedding for such selfish reasons makes my blood boil. And, quite frankly, if my sister didn't want to go to my wedding because of selfsih reasons such as those, I sure as heck wouldn't want her there! You've got to decide what's important. Being there for your sister, or ruining the day for her by staying home and pouting. Anonymous

Answer I have never heard of having potluck for the reception, but it is your wedding and you should do it how you want to. If you think people are willing to do that then you should go ahead. OR You could just serve little finger-type foods that are cheap and someone could prepare very easily, like little chicken salad sandwiches on a crescent roll or something like that.

Answer This is your sister's day and you should support her even if it does mean standing next to them for 20 minutes. It would mean a lot to her and you don't want to cause a rift between the two of you. Anonymous

Answer Who's day is it anyway? This is for your sister, try to make her happy on her wedding day.
